I was watching this video the other day about modern society problems in which the speaker notably mentioned two things over and over again:
- Hyperconsumption
- Loneliness

Now, if we go all the way back to the history and investigate why we started inventing things then making our lives easier and connecting with each other could potentially be in the top three reasons list.
But what did the inventions instead do?
Inventions gave us a never ending list of infinite options and big room of satisfying our instant gratifications.
This led to the introduction of one of the biggest problems of hyperconsumption and especially in Fashion!!
Coming back to the main topic!
For this week’s shopping sabbatical I did not buy anything.
So does that mean I am not a victim of hyperconsumption?
Wrong!
Because this week I was sick and was busy taking care of my health!
So I was not able to think about anything else.

But now that I am feeling good I will probably go ahead and start looking for options to buy my summer clothes from and I am still trying to learn about different resources for discarding my bad conditioned clothes ethically.
There has not been much of a change in my thinking related to buying but my consumption has significantly reduced.
Thanks to shopping sabbatical that I was able to take a healthy break from shopping.
I also wish that I could do another challenge related to phone detoxification so I can get away from screen which these days has been one of the biggest hurdle in my studies and daily life for every single day.
Until then keep loving slow and sustainable fashion
I will see you in the next one ♡
