This week was indeed a rollercoaster ride!
Beyond doubt, it was a super busy this week and with all the required assignment submissions and volunteering duties I was all packed.
Here I am to write about my thrifting experience as a college student.

Was I able to make it to a thrift store?
No
But did I go recently?
Yes
This Blog post would be my reflection on a recent visit to thrift store in Bloomington Normal’s Plato’s Closet store with my friend.
Although we had to go for a visit specially for the Blog this week I could not make it due to my tight schedule. But I would love to share my recent visit with everyone on my page.

So it was a Sunday morning and it was a little warm on that day in contrast to others.
I picked Plato’s Closet because of various reasons and one of them is the excellent quality of products they keep.
To elucidate my view, I bought a mini wrap skirt made up of wool with check prints and teary style with threads coming out of it. This skirt gets complimented everytime I wear it. Do I feel good? I really do and that is how I have a very positive view of this store.
Me and my friend took the Red Bus from Uptown Station and reached their around 11 am.
The store had many collections and accessories to choose from that included:
- Belts
- Handbags
- Jewelry
- Shades
- Skirts
- Trousers
- Footwear
- Jackets
- Tops
- Sweaters and more
The list is endless as they have almost every fashion article one would love to have!
Although I did not purchase anything due to Shopping Sabbatical my friend did as she bought a Black leather jacket, three summer tops, a rain coat and a pair of fluorescent pink sneakers that were absolutely stunning. Interestingly I have a cropped picture of her holding that pair of sneakers.

Closely observing the target audience I realized the majority of customers of this store are college students of my age.
It is understandable that people like us do get excited and love to shop from thrift stores.
