WEEK 2 OF TALKING ABOUT MY FASHION HABITS AND RECENT PURCHASES

Today,

I am going to talk about “a secret box”

Yes you read it right

A secret box from India.

.

.

.

Staring at my overloaded closet, wondering on a Monday morning and thinking why I don’t have anything to wear?

Has this ever happened to you?

Me too !!!!!

But Mankirat you don’t shop that often. How is your closet overloaded?

Here’s a twist…

In my case, it’s my mom who shows her love by sending big boxes across oceans from India.

.

.

.

“This is exactly what I try to mitigate through my own controlled shopping habits that I talked about last week”.

.

.

.

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!

I got you new clothes :))))

Thank you Mom but…. (I tried but didn’t say it)

I do believe it is a hindrance in my shopping sabbatical exercise that I am starting next month but it was a sweet gesture from her for my birthday coming this April so I couldn’t say no ♡

Today let’s talk about two new pieces that I adore sent by her this time.

.

.

.

My cute little socks

and baby pink pajama (ps: my mom loves pink).

She probably bought these from our home city’s market and I love these pieces because they are both super soft and comfy to wear. Especially the socks are mushy and fluffy with very cute motifs, perfect to flaunt with shorts on a beautiful sunny day!!

And writing this blog I just realised I wore a gift sent by my bestfriend’s Mom this week. This week feels all about the magic of gifts that close people put in our lives.

Before leaving I will put a picture with my bestie in that traditional outfit “saree” for you all my favorite people.

Until then, keep slaying and keep loving sustainable fashion 🙂

  1. Its so sweet she sent that! Our wardrobes are so often full of things that we didn’t necessary buy ourselves. I know that I have a couple pieces that I cant get rid of just because someone gave it to me.

  2. Hi Mankirat,
I enjoyed reading your blog post and I think it’s so sweet that your mom sends packages with clothes in them. My parents are the opposite, they think I should get rid of my clothes because I have too much.

  3. Hey Mankirat! I love you guys traditional fit. That’s also really nice of your mom to ship you a lot of clothes. It’s like everyone is receiving clothing and not buying lol.
